swastikas on heiwa studio - la paz (bolivia) 2o14

before the second ww, the swastika was a symbol of strength, luck and good vibrations, anything related with nazi ideology
the swastika is still associated with nazism and despised by the whole world
manwoman, a canadian poet and artist, has been trying to recover the swastika from the intolerance since the sixties, and devoted most of his life to restoring the real meaning of the symbol, for what he tattooed several swastikas on his body and wrote books about it

ken vargas wakimoto and miyuki lihoshi, tattoo masters, carry out this activity every year in heiwa studio, as a tribute to the figure of manwoman, adding an effort to return the swastika to its spiritual and peaceful essence
